Hello, I'm Tabitha (Tabbie).
My doula care is warm, grounded, holistic, and centered around honoring mothers through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with a joyful heart.
I believe birth is an incredible physiological process, postpartum is a sacred and transformative, and families deserve support that feels uplifting, practical, well informed, and deeply individualized. My approach blends evidence-informed education with traditional teachings, nervous-system support, and honor for each family’s special journey.
I offer postpartum care, workshops, birth pool rentals, and home birth pain management tool rentals.
Beginning February 2027, I will also be offering birth doula services.

A Bit of My Story…
Long before I became a mama, I was always fascinated by the miracle of birth.
I grew up in Oregon, and found friends in women who trusted their bodies, valued community, and viewed birth as a normal and powerful part of life. That eventually led to my favorite people being midwives, teachers, and family therapists. I was fascinated by the world they inhabited, and as a nanny and baby sitter, I cared for the littles of the families they served. When I was a young girl, I dreamed about having babies, birth, and motherhood. Forever fascinated by the incredible experience.
I was the child constantly pretending to be pregnant, stuffing pillows under my shirt and "birthing" stuffed animals. I would eagerly rewatch episodes of Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, and any television show that featured a pregnancy or birth story. Something about the incredible power women have to bring new life into the world captivated me.
Looking back, I laugh because it probably should have been obvious where my heart was leading me.
My Beautiful Life
I am a lifelong learner, passionate about evolving myself and uplifting my community. My family and I created a cozy place we call home - a family compound nestled in the mountains. We moved to the Chattanooga area a few years ago after my family sold their ranch in Wyoming, where we lived previously. Located in the foothills of the Appalachians: Joy Mountain Farm is a small place filled with big love. A place where our family practices simple living, growing food, caring and rescuing many animals, learning through nature, and creating an inviting home where everyone can be seen, valued and loved for who they are. I love eating nourishing meals (especially if I’m not the one cleaning the kitchen!), learning about all sorts of nature topics, studying psychology and physiology, spending as much time outdoors as possible, and homeschooling my littles. In our family we cultivate deep connections to the natural and spiritual world.
I am a proud mama of two beautiful children, both born at home. Along the way, I've also experienced miscarriages: losses that deepened my compassion for the complexity of a woman's resilience and love, and strengthened my empathy for families navigating both joy and grief.
These experiences have shaped not only who I am as a mother and woman, but also impacted the kind of doula I strive to be. I believe every family deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported in their own unique ways. No two families are the same, so it doesn’t make sense to provide cookie cutter experiences and cross our fingers that it’s going to “help.” It is my privilege to walk alongside parents with a joyful presence, evidence-informed guidance, and heartfelt care as they welcome new life and transition into parenthood.
Everyone needs support…
Birth was never meant to be done alone.
Whether you have an amazing birth partner, don't have a birth partner, your partner can't be present, or your partner simply needs a helping hand (first time around this block?) I want you to know that you don't have to carry the weight of labor by yourself. And you shouldn’t!
Let me be a steady hand to hold, calm voice in the room, and a person to reminds you to breathe, rest, eat, hydrate, and trust your body. With lots of tricks and tips up my sleeves, I got your back!
Birth is like a marathon. Your partner also benefits from the care of doula. Doula’s help your partner understand what's happening, offer reassurance when things feel overwhelming, and create space for them to show up confidently for you. Every woman deserves to feel supported, seen, informed, and cared for as she moves through it. No matter who walks through the birth room doors with you, my goal is to make sure you never feel alone.
