Breastfeeding Prepared
Breastfeeding Prepared
A Hands On Workshop for Expecting Parents
Breastfeeding Prepared is a practical prenatal workshop designed to help you and your partner feel more confident before baby arrives.
Instead of waiting until you’re exhausted, sore, overwhelmed, and trying to figure everything out in the moment, this class gives you a strong foundation ahead of time.
Led by Ashley Lucas, RN, IBCLC of Chattanooga Lactation and Tabbie of Joy Journeys Birth Services, this workshop combines breastfeeding education with real-life preparation for the early postpartum days.
You’ll learn about breastfeeding basics, milk production, latch and positioning, common challenges, partner support, communication, creating a comfortable feeding space, and when to reach out for additional help.
A major focus of the class is helping couples understand how to work as a team. Your partner will leave with practical ways to support feeding, recovery, rest, communication, and the emotional side of those first days at home.
You’ll also learn why establishing lactation support before baby arrives can make such a difference, including the benefits of a prenatal consultation with an IBCLC.
Sunday, November 22nd
4:00 to 6:30 PM
6845 Mountain View Road Ooltewah, TN 37363
(If class location changes. You will be notified immediately via email)
$97 per registration
Each registration includes two spots: one for you and one birth partner or support person.
Only 15 registrations are available so we can keep the workshop personal, interactive, and comfortable.
Your Registration Includes
Admission for two people, hands on instruction, breastfeeding education, partner support education, time for questions and discussion, practical take home information, and the opportunity to connect with local birth and lactation professionals before baby arrives.
Registration Policy
All payments are final.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another person or request partial credit toward another Joy Journeys Birth Services event or service. This must be requested and approved before the class begins.
Because we prepare materials and reserve the appropriate space based on registration numbers, we are unable to offer refunds for missed classes.
Come prepared with questions. Leave with a plan, a support system, and a stronger understanding of what those first days of breastfeeding can really look like.
